This is the first-ever post on an all-new web page: the official site for Ascension’s Rite-13 group.  (That means all 6th and 7th graders …)

I’ll keep this one short because there will be many more!  Just this: our group starts meeting on Sunday, September 7, from 9:02 to 9:50 a.m. in the living room of the Youth House at Ascension.  Plus, there’s a special cookout and swim party at Kathy Wendling’s house right after church, 12:00-1:30 p.m., to celebrate the first day of Rite-13!

How this page works

Anybody can read this page and leave comments. If you want to become a contributor and post entries, you have to be a youth or leader in Ascension's Rite-13 group. Send Stephen an e-mail at sshaver [at] ascensiondallas [dot] org and ask to be made a contributor. Voilà! There are only a few rules here to help us in our online life together. (1) Please don't post anything inappropriate, hurtful, or abusive. If you do, I'll take it down. (2) Please don't post any identifying information about any youth (that's anyone under 18). That means using first names ONLY in text, first initials ONLY in photo captions, and absolutely no phone numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses, etc. This is an online forum and we need to protect people's privacy. (3) I reserve the right to change the rules as we go along and find out what works well in terms of posting privileges, privacy, etc. (4) Like Jesus says: "Love one another as I have loved you."
